The Share Investor 2 Portfolio is a separate portfolio apart from the original Share Investor Portfolio and contains just one share, Contact Energy Ltd [CEN.NZX]. It will only have this one share in it and has a far shorter time frame than the original long-term portfolio that I started 8 years ago.
The portfolio was started July 7 with 9000 shares purchased at $5.34 at a total cost of $48,060.00 and $144.18 in brokerage.
After the second day trading the portfolio is up $90.00 or 0.19% on yesterday's update to be worth a total of $47,970.00. The portfolio is down 0.19% since tracking began on July 7 2011.

Can I ask where you are able to get 0.3% brokerage?
ReplyDeleteHi Gary, ASB Securities. It used to be half that a few years back. Other bank style brokers charge about that and I would recommend other banks before ASB because of the unreliability of their website: http://shareinvestornz.blogspot.com/2011/07/asb-securities-down-again.html
